Michael is Chair of London Stock Exchange plc and Hays plc, the FTSE 250 listed international recruitment business. He was previously the Chair of Morgan Sindall Group plc and a non-executive director of International Distribution Services plc, the parent company of the Royal Mail. In his executive career, he was a banker, latterly the Co-Head of UK Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he advised a wide range of companies on strategic, financing and governance matters.
