Olav Ostin

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Olav is Managing Partner of TempoCap and has been active in the venture capital industry for the past 17 years. In 2006, Olav co-founded TempoCap which joined the Draper Venture Network in 2012. Since its formation, TempoCap has acquired 10 portfolios of assets and closed multiple single assets transactions.

Between 2000 and 2004, Olav was a Managing Director of venture capital firm ETF Group and previously spent 6 years in investment banking at Enskilda Securities. Olav was educated at EM Lyon, France.

David Tate

Co-Founder and Venture Partner

David is a Managing Partner of TempoCap which he co-founded with Olav Ostin in 2006 when the venture division of Nova Capital was de-merged to form TempoCap.

David was previously the Head of Investments and an Executive Director at WestLB Panmure, and prior to this spent over 15 years in investment banking with BZW and WestLB. His initial experience was in management consultancy with Deloitte. David is a chartered accountant and was educated at Jesus College, Oxford, University College London, and has completed the AMP at INSEAD.

Ash (Ashish) Puri

Investment Partner

Ash joined TempoCap in 2016 from the venture capital firm Episode 1. Ash is an entrepreneur turned VC, has previously helped ASOS with their international expansion in Asia based on his experience founding and running a premium e-fashion commerce business in India. Ash previously worked with Partech Ventures and Sofinnova Partners in Paris. He started his career as a consultant with Computer Associates.

Ash holds a double Masters in Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, U.S.A and Supélec, France, and a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Telecommunications from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India.

Thomas Dadashi

Investment Partner

Thomas joined TempoCap in 2016 from the private equity firm Akina in Zurich where he was in charge of sourcing, executing and monitoring secondary and direct investments in growth and buyout companies across Europe. Prior to joining Akina in 2011, Thomas spent 4 years with PwC transaction services in Paris managing due diligence on buy/sell side M&A and LBO transactions. In parallel, Thomas is an active business angel since 2013 with various seed capital investments in French start-ups (mostly online gaming and e-commerce).

Thomas holds a Masters in Finance from Edhec Business School in Lille, France and studied at the European Business School in Oestrich Winkel, Germany. He is fluent in French, English, German and Persian.

Annabelle de Saint Quentin

Chief Financial Officer

Annabelle joined TempoCap at inception in 2006 and has been involved in the venture capital industry for the past 17 years. Annabelle was previously Chief Financial Officer at Zouk Ventures for six years, and more recently provided financial consulting to sustainable investor ETF Partners, and venture debt provider Generis Capital. Annabelle is a regular speaker on the Private Equity CFO conference circuit. Annabelle started her career with PwC audit and business advisory in Paris, New York, and Miami.

Annabelle was educated at ESCP, Paris and is a Chartered Accountant.

Matthew Knowles

Venture Partner

Matt joined TempoCap in 2017 following 19 years running HiFX, a global leader in digital international payments.  He co – founded the business in 1998 and built the business up to be one of the largest non-bank players globally. In his time as CEO, Matt led the business through an MBO, 3 separate acquisitions (including the acquisition of XE) and the ultimate sale of HiFX in 2014 for $250m to Euronet Inc (Nasdaq: EEFT).

Matt’s move into the venture capital industry is driven by his passion to help build great businesses. Matt studied Accountancy and Law at Kingston University.
